Gorgeous and dainty vintage (1930s - 1950s) gold tone trembler brooch that has garnet red rhinestone pistil that moves or trembles as you move, hence the name trembler.
In excellent vintage condition and feels very well made. There is a lot of lovely details on this piece like textured petals and leaves with a stunning red center that catches the light beautifully.

I would consider this a summer brooch because of its delicate nature. You don't want to snag the middle on a scarf or jacket.

"Trembler" jewelry takes its name from the French en tremblant, meaning to shake or quiver — a technique first popularized in fine 18th and 19th-century jewelry, where a spring-mounted center stone moves independently as the wearer does. This flower brooch, with its garnet-red rhinestone pistil designed to tremble with movement, carries that same delicate, centuries-old mechanism into a 1930s–1950s costume piece.

Good to Know

Because our jewelry is vintage, preworn, and older, the following are not considered defects and are not valid reasons for return if shown in photos or described in the listing: patina, age-related wear, minor surface marks or scuffs, slight discoloration or darkening, plating wear consistent with age, small irregularities typical of older or previously worn jewelry, and the item looking slightly different in person due to lighting or screen settings.
